WEBSITE MAINTENANCE

Website maintenance with a defined scope

Keep important business information, software and customer actions current through an agreed maintenance plan—not an undefined promise that everything is covered.

Response windows, platforms, included work and emergency limits are defined before recurring service begins.

WHAT IS INCLUDED

A useful customer path—not just a prettier page.

Content updates

Approved changes to services, hours, contact details, staff information and selected page content.

Operational checks

Defined checks of important pages, forms, links and other customer actions at the agreed frequency.

Software review

Where applicable, platform and dependency updates are evaluated with backups, compatibility and rollback needs in mind.

Issue triage

Reported problems are reproduced and classified before a repair or third-party escalation is proposed.

Search hygiene

Accidental noindex rules, broken canonicals, sitemap gaps and broken internal links can be included in a periodic review.

Change summary

Completed work and remaining limitations are documented so maintenance does not become invisible activity.

THE PROCESS

Small steps with visible review points.

  1. 01

    Define the inventory

We record the platform, domain owner, hosting, forms, third-party services and critical customer paths.

  2. 02

    Set the service window

The agreement states routine timing, contact method, included hours or changes and what counts as separate work.

  3. 03

    Review before risky changes

Changes affecting domains, email, payments, customer data or production integrations require specific approval and a recovery plan.

  4. 04

    Report the result

Checks and changes are summarized with unresolved items and any recommended next step.

PROOF, NOT PROMISES

Maintenance is an operating agreement, not a slogan.

A monthly plan should say which website is covered, what is checked, how requests are prioritized and what happens when an external provider fails.

We do not claim continuous monitoring, security response or instant availability unless those capabilities are explicitly included and operating.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Know the limits before work starts.

Is maintenance automatically included with a website project?

Only for the period stated in the written scope. Ongoing maintenance requires separate terms; there is no automatic renewal unless you authorize it.

Does maintenance include unlimited changes?

No. The plan defines included work and how larger design, content, integration or platform projects are estimated.

Can you maintain a site you did not build?

Often, after a technical review. We first identify the platform, access, update condition, custom code and existing risks.

Is emergency support included?

Only when the agreement defines emergency coverage and response expectations. Otherwise, urgent work is evaluated separately and availability is not guaranteed.
